Larry Dale Anderson, 76 of Tampico, formerly of Manlius, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Larry was born on January 31, 1949 in Princeton, IL, the son of George and Wilma (Burba) Anderson. On June 19, 2004 he married Bonnie (Link) Colclasure. In his early work years, he delivered milk with Harold (Fat) Miller. He then went on to work for Kraft foods followed by Kory’s Farm Implement until his retirement. In 2006, Larry and Bonnie opened Kickback Saloon in Tampico until their retirement in 2025.
In the many phase of Larry’s life he enjoyed fishing, rolle bolle, bowling, playing cards, telling stories, riding his golf cart, spending time at the campground, most of all he enjoyed watching old westerns, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, spending time with friends and family on his front porch with Yadi by his side, and you could usually find him watching the Chicago Bears at the Kickback Saloon.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of 21 years; his mother, Wilma; step-mother, Alma; his children, Gene Moore of Spring Valley, IL, Laura (Dave) Karlburg of Sherrard, IL, Michelle “Bugs” (Glen) Hostens of Colona, IL, Monica (Marty) Thompson of Mineral, IL, Melissa (Mike) Law of Walnut, Jason (Tammy) Colclasure of Cooper, TX, and Eric Colclasure of Tampico; 21 grandchildren, one of which will forever be Buckwheat and one a Superstar- the favorite one is still up for debate; 25 great grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Don) Roth of Tipton, IA; three brothers, Darrell (Nancy) Anderson of Manlius, Mike (Karen) Anderson of Louisville, KY, and Calvin Anderson of Fairdale, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George; maternal and paternal grandparents; his sister, Charlotte; and his grandson, Alex Franklin.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Garland Funeral Home in Tampico. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow at the Kickback Saloon.
